Serve

At Birmingham and Berkley First, serving is at the heart of who we are. Whether it’s lending a hand in our 22 mission partnerships, joining United Women in Faith, advocating through Church & Society, nurturing our youngest through Children & Family Ministries, or caring for God’s creation with our Landscaping Committee—there’s a place for you to share your gifts.

Serving connects us to one another, to our community, and to God’s work in the world. No matter your age, skills, or schedule, there’s an opportunity for you to make a difference. Explore ways to get involved, build relationships, and be the hands and feet of Christ—both within the church and beyond our walls.

Volunteer Record & Registration

Birmingham and Berkley First has a policy for working with children, youth and vulnerable persons. This new policy asks for volunteers to complete an application, background check release, and provide the names and email addresses of two references who will be asked to fill out a form recommending you as a volunteer. Any volunteer who has supervising authority over or assisting in the leadership of children, youth and vulnerable persons are being asked to complete this process as soon as possible to bring us into compliance with the new policy. Once the application process has been completed, only the background check release will need to be repeated every three years.
