Christmas Local Mission Opportunities with Birmingham & Berkley First

This Christmas season, there are many meaningful ways you can help those in need—both in-person and online. From filling stockings and wrapping gifts to volunteering your time, enjoying a concert, or shopping from a wish list, there’s an opportunity for everyone to make a difference. Find the option that best fits your abilities, your schedule, and your heart to serve.

Fill a Stocking
On November 16 and 23, pick up an empty stocking at either the Birmingham or Berkley First campus and fill it with $20 worth of Christmas goodies. Stockings will be distributed through the Redford Brightmoor Initiative and must be returned (filled and unwrapped) by November 30.

Choose an Ornament, Give a Gift

Also on November 16 and 23, Christmas trees at both campuses will feature ornaments representing specific gifts needed by our partners: RBI, Micah 6, and Cass Community Social Services. Select an ornament, shop for the gift, and return it with the ornament taped to the package to help us sort for distribution.

A Note of Thanks – Methodist Children’s Home Society
Thanks to your generosity, 96 Christmas Wish Lists for foster children have already been adopted! Please remember to return unwrapped gifts with the child’s list attached by Sunday, November 16 to either campus.
