The Birmingham & Berkley First Nurses Ministry is made up of dedicated healthcare professionals who share their knowledge, compassion, and time in service to our church community. Whether they are retired or actively practicing as Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, or Physician Assistants, these volunteers use their gifts to promote health, safety, and care for others.

The team offers monthly blood pressure screenings at our Birmingham First campus, providing a simple opportunity for members and guests to monitor their health. Throughout the year, they also coordinate wellness initiatives such as seasonal flu shot clinics and work behind the scenes to help keep our church safe by regularly inspecting our Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).

Their ministry extends beyond physical health. The Nurses Ministry thoughtfully stocks our women's restrooms with discreet cards containing contact information for local domestic violence support services, offering hope and resources to those who may need them.

Through quiet acts of service, practical care, and Christ's compassion, the Birmingham & Berkley First Nurses Ministry helps create a healthier, safer, and more caring church for all.

Do you know how to take a blood pressure? If so, we'd love to have you join the Birmingham & Berkley First Nurses Ministry as a volunteer. Just a couple of times each year, you can spend about 30 minutes after the 9:30 a.m. worship service helping provide this valuable ministry to our congregation.
Blood pressure screenings are offered once a month, and many of our members rely on them as a simple way to monitor their health. Whether you're able to serve once or several times a year, your time can make a meaningful difference.
